What we collect
- Data you enter in the contact form: name, organisation, email address, subject and message.
- Data you enter in the bulletin form: email address only.
- Technical server data: truncated IP address, browser type, requested page and time of request.
- Audience measurement data, only if you have accepted the corresponding cookie category.
Why we process it
To reply to your message, to send the bulletin you asked for, to keep the site secure and available, and to understand which pages are read. We do not profile visitors and we do not use personal data for advertising.
Legal basis
Consent for the bulletin and for optional cookies. Legitimate interest for security logs and for replying to enquiries addressed to us.
Retention
- Contact messages: 24 months after the last exchange.
- Bulletin subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, which every email allows in one click.
- Server logs: 90 days.
- Cookie choice: 12 months.
Recipients
Data stays with the institute and its hosting provider in Switzerland. No transfer outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area takes place.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to privacy@ish-heliophysics.ch. You also have the right to complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
